STILL one of the best spots to get a croissant breakfast sandwich. They fry the egg on the griddle, same with the bacon. Other places just throw the egg in the microwave. Best local spot for a greasy breakfast, average coffee, and donuts.

Such a long overdue review but we had the very best experience and Service ordering over hundred donuts for a party! We had delicious, well decorated, and fresh donuts where our guests were HAPPY to take with them.

5 stars for: Cake donuts: ube, red velvet both w crumb toppings. 4 stars: Cake donut w chocolate frosting (not a very chcolately flavor) Glazed donuts: tall and fluffy , not quite sweet enough. 3 stars: old fashioned glazed & chocolate frosted. These fell short for me as there was slightly overpowering cinnamon or cardamom flavor to donut which I didn't expect. I would return for the cake w crumb topping and regular glazed donuts again.

Service was quick and owner is friendly. Small little shop that's opened 4am and closes at 8pm. The longest open donut place I know of. Most donut places close before 3pm.

Last night, my daughter and my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a really nice dessert after dinner we decided to go again to happy donut. We have our faves there. I decided to treat everyone and my choice was I have to say that they make the best apple fritter anywhere and having a cuppa coffee in the morning may sound like a bit of a sugar overload but it's my happy place . we didn't stop there. I also bought regular donuts bars and cream puffs and you just get started. You can't stop.. It's locally owned and operated and the quality always seems to be there and they seem to be sold out if you go there too late of all the faves that everyone likes so it's a pretty popular place for people to show up . Fortunately we got everything we wanted and we're very happy.

When I've seen the sign for this or any of their numerous locations, I've asked myself the probing question what would make a donut happy. After all, the donut is presumably the victim of a happy donut eater, and it would be mere residue in the digestive tract, wouldn't it? However, I didn't trouble the proprietress of this shop with my rhetorical inquiry. She just wanted to know which dozen I plan to order. It likely disappointed her that I ordered just one, a nice plain $1.35 Ube Donut (photo: https://bit.ly/39zQ3H4) with a small $1.40 cup of coffee (photo: https://bit.ly/3G51xON). It didn't diminish her good humor though. There wasn't any indoor seating, so I took my donut and coffee to the parking lot to imbibe them. That made me a Happy Donut Eater. DONUT - 4 stars...I like ube, not overly sweet AMBIANCE - 3 stars...well, it's a typical shop in the chain SERVICE - 4 stars...the owner was a stitch TOTAL - 4 stars...well, the donuts are happy RELATED - Exploring Albany?
